This will be a high-level email to be sure you have the upcoming service opportunities on your calendar. More details will be sent soon for each opportunity. Please mark your calendar for the following dates: - Saturday, September 12: Sleep in Heavenly Peace (bed building) - Lowe's on North Dirksen (9am-1pm)
- Friday, September 18: The Outlet (building bookshelves and supply organization) - 1pm-4pm
- Wednesday, September 23: Compass For Kids (provide and prepare meal for after school program) - 5:20pm-6pm (timeframe will likely be longer; awaiting more details)
- Friday, October 2: United Way Day of Caring (project TBD) - 1pm-4pm
- Friday, October 9: RISE Professional Clothing Drive at Salvation Army (donations requested, not workers) - 10am-6pm (I can gather the donations and deliver them)
I will get more information to you on each of these projects, but know you are not expected to participate in every single event that is sent out. Having a little variety lets you choose what works best for your schedule, your budget and your interests. If you have ideas for service projects, I am always happy to further discuss.
