This is a very short note this week but has a couple of important items. The first is that beginning next week, instead of a separate note from me on Thursday regarding the meals and other items, an email from Barry over the weekend with the link to the Monday meeting, and a note in the Newsletter on Monday morning, these messages will be delivered in the Club Newsletter on Thursdays. Thanks to Neal for suggesting it, and Bonnie and Barry on the implementation. You will get more information on the Newsletter at our October 19 meeting. The Board approved the membership application of Jon Sutter on Monday, October 12. The two week comment period for his membership was announced at the October 12 Club meeting and started on that date. If you have any comments on Jon, please email them to me at dkromphardt@yahoo.com.At our meeting on October 12, Carly Malany Hinkle gave an amazing and powerful presentation on the challenges of working in a Chicago ICU as the COVID-19 pandemic was in its early stages. This presentation was recorded and will be available on the club website.
At our October 19 club meeting, we will have committee reports, the Board report, the 50/50 drawing, and the COSTUME EVENT. Whether in person or at home, bring your best. There might even be judging and awards!
