Join Our Club Meetings in Person or Online!

Since August 3, we have been perfecting a hybrid club meeting format. Members and guests are participating in person at Maldaners Upstairs or online through WebEx. Maldaners staff members have reconfigured our meeting room to accommodate safe social distancing, and staff and club members are wearing masks except when seated and eating. Maldaners has made special arrangements for curbside pick up meals for club members participating online so we can all enjoy the wonderful food.

To ensure adequate social distancing and sufficient food, members and guests must sign up by 2:00 p.m. on the Friday before each meeting to participate in person or if they want to pick up the curbside meal(s) or need to receive the link for the online meeting. Meals are still $12 per person for both in person and curbside service. To sign up, email dkromphardt@yahoo.com or call 815-488-2787. We are planning to streamline our registration system so check back at this website for updates. In person food service begins at 6:15 p.m. Curbside pick up is behind Maldaners from 4:45-5:15 p.m. From Monroe street, turn into the alley behind Maldaners and call 217-522-4313. Your meal will be delivered at the back door of Maldaners.

All members and registered guests are emailed the WebEx link prior to each meeting. Online participants should join the meeting at 5:30 p.m. to allow time to chat with other members. The club meeting begins promptly at 5:45 p.m. We have reinstated popular components of our meeting including brag-a-bucks and the 50/50 drawing for both the in-person and online participants, and the proceeds from these activities are again supporting scholarships to local colleges. At every meeting our President David Kromphardt highlights important activities, including community service projects, and talks about future plans. The theme for August is membership, and we will be welcoming some new members to the family. In September, we will be hearing from outside speakers, including recipients of our 2020 community grants. Visitors are always welcome but during the pandemic, preregistration is critical to ensuring an enjoyable and safe experience. We hope you will join us in person or online!
