A Behind the Scenes Look at the Making of Illinois Stories

Illinois Stories is a well know series that airs on Public Television.  Produced by Mark McDonald in conjunction with WSEC, it provides an up close look at some of the very interesting people and places that make up our communities in central Illinois.  Mark will share with us some of the interesting background stories and remind us of the fact that there are many fascinating folks right here in our area. 

Mark McDonald has worked in television and media relations for more than 30 years as a news reporter and anchor, public affairs specialist and now, as an Emmy award-winning chronicler of life in Central and West Central Illinois. If he can snare an interview with Barack Obama he will have the distinction of having interviewed our past 4 presidents at some time in their careers. While he enjoyed his positions in television news and media affairs, his present job as producer and host of “Illinois Stories” is his favorite.
